Just a little further, from 10 to 20 minute drive away, you have more coastal towns such as Benalmadena, Marbella, Puerto Banus and Torremolinos! Local Fuengirola is also linked to Málaga City itself by train making it easy to visit that beautiful, historically rich city and it's sights too from the apartment.
